The latest K-beauty trend is ‘fruit-juice makeup’ which Koreans swear by for looking more youthful
Are we ever going to get tired of the K-Beauty revolution? First there was cushion blushers, followed by BB, CC and even DD creams then cloudless skin and snail slime – and now it’s all about the fruit juice makeup.
The thing about the Korean beauty industry is that it’s quite literally taking over the world.
It’s known as one of the most innovative countries for product development, with always-exciting products that glide on like nothing else. The Asian beauty industry focuses on great skin that feels and looks healthy, with natural-looking pigment rather than the Westernised approach to cover, conceal and contour our faces.
And, the latest fruit-juice makeup technique from Korea is an approach that we are seriously digging because it’s all about looking as youthful as possible. And who doesn’t want to look fresh-faced and peachy, as if you’ve had a full 10 hours sleep?
According to Korean makeup artist, Cat Koh, this technique means ‘getting enough colour on your cheeks as if they were a ripe fruit ready to eat and bursting with juice.’
Her tips for achieving the fruit-juice makeup look is to apply ‘fruit-coloured blush’ in shades of watermelon, peach, strawberries and raspberries ‘directly onto the front apples of your cheeks instead of blending upward and outward.’ This should be finished with a fruit-coloured lip tint for a full juicy look.
It sounds easy enough! If this is the secret to eternal youth, we’re hooked...
