Hair accessories reigned supreme at fashion month (and these are our favourites)
Greasy hair days have never looked chicer, since hair bows, headbands and layered clips, barrettes and slides took over the fashion scene. North of where the normal action tends to happen (looking at you, shoes, handbags and ritzy earrings), beauty has now got in on the act of accessorising.
With fashion month wrapping up today, and editors summing up the ‘trends’ coming out of the most fashionable instalment this side of September, hair accessories have, once again, reigned supreme across all four fashion capitals.
An honourable mention goes to German fashion influencer, Leonie Hanne, who embarked on a one woman mission to make hair clips the embellishment of 2020. She rocked a ginormo pink Gucci barrette in Milan, delicate Dior pins in Paris and edgy Prada hair slides in London.

Elsewhere, digital influencer and editor, Carolina Ogliaro, paired her pastel pink Sabine Be sunglasses with baby pink and blue clips. One guest at Dolce & Gabbana matched a huge cream bow to her immaculate cream outfit and street style star Angela Rozas Saiz accessorised, loose, relaxed waves with a statement jewelled feather head piece.
There was plenty of hair accessory action on the runway itself, too. Badgley Mischka opened the season with an upside down Alice band (worn on the lower half of the head, rather than on top), Chanel embellished half-up, half-down hair with pretty bows and brooches and Giambattista Valli decided to rock both at the same time.
