BEAUTY BIO:
I'm a glow girl through and through. Dewy foundations, shimmer shadows and Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector (£30) are all staples in my kit. I really like base products that make my skin radiate light, without being overly glittery, and tend to favour liquids over powders.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY GLOWGASM COLLECTION REVIEW
Before I get stuck into it, you should know I had very high expectations for these products. I mean, when you call a range 'Glowgasm', satisfaction is ensued.
First impressions got me off to a tinglin' start with beautiful packaging, particularly the face palettes which feature colours similar to a pastel sunset. Let's see if the results will send me skywards...
Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand Highlighter in 'Goldgasm'
If you've been hoping, waiting and wishing for a liquid version of Bar of Gold, that's exactly how I would describe the Goldgasm wand. The shade is a rich and warm gold, with a gleaming finish. But because it's liquid, it's a lot dewier than the powder version.
The applicator dispenses product quite generously, so I'd take caution when applying straight to the skin (maybe go back of the hand first while it's fresh). I applied too much and it ended up settling into my crow's feet and going cakey, so use sparingly. The shade didn't suit my skin tone as much as this original, which is more pearlescent. But if gold highlighters get you going, this one packs a punch.
Glowgasm Face Palette in 'Lightasm'
The face palette is just as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside. It has four pans; a highlighter, a multi-glow, bronzer and blusher – all with glistening finishes that make them look wet, but the texture is closer to silk. They all apply ridiculously smooth, with no powdery residue in sight. It's like putting on a second, shimmery skin. My only pet peeve is because they're so shimmery, they can accentuate lines, so be careful with your placement (and make sure to use primer as a creasing barrier).
I tried the 'Lightasm' palette, which features a pearlescent gold, peachy gold, pink gold and milk chocolate bronze. But there is also 'Lovegasm' which is a richer, deeper version with, coppers, terracotta golds.
I found layering the top left gold from 'Lightasm' over the liquid 'Goldgasm' LIT my skin up. I had a call from NASA saying they could see this combo from space. Not one for the 'subtle' among us.
Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand High Blush in 'Pinkasm'
This was my favourite of the three. A few dabs of this on each apple and blended with a finger, produced the most delicious wash of colour with a juicy, dewy finish.
It's a peachy pink, with microscopic gold particles that leave you with the glowiest skin of your life. Think a 'Sex On The Beach' cocktail for your skin. It's comparable to Fenty's Matchstix in 'Yacht Life', but I like this one better. As a liquid it just melts seamlessly into the skin and makes you look like you've just had the best sex of your life. Guess I found my Glowgasm.
