Sienna Miller and her lookalike daughter Marlowe just walked the red carpet at Cannes
Celebrity mothers and daughters truly are the gifts who keep on giving when it comes to fashion (and all the rest). In fact, the celebrity world is packed with mother and daughter duos that make us wish we could steal their wardrobes.
The ever-stylish Sienna Miller and her daughter, Marlowe, are the latest pair to give us a sartorial masterclass. The pair walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, Miller wearing a floaty sheer gown and Marlowe wearing a baby pink mini dress – how cute?
Last year, the Met Gala also served up a particularly delicious form of celebrity mother and daughter style, in the form of Kate and Lila Moss.
The duo wore co-ordinated Fendi couture gowns by Kim Jones, and they were even pictured on the red carpet with the designer himself. Lila's dress was all coral, poof and cinched waist, whereas Kate's slip dress had a similar colour palette but favoured lace and net.
When seriously stylish celebs – particularly those who are prominent in the fashion industry – have children, it's almost guaranteed that those children will also grow up to be equally stylish.
Of course, there's the the Kardashian-Jenner empire, which is essentially four generations of impossibly stylish women – from Kris Jenner's mum Mary Jo Campbell all the way through to North and Chicago West (Kim Kardashian's daughters), Penelope Disick (Kourtney's) and True Thompson (Khloe's). Plus, Kylie and Stormi. Seriously, has there ever been a higher concentration of glam mums and daughters in one family?!
And of course, we can't forget the likes of Reese Witherspoon and her mini-me Ava; and Big Little Lies star and fashion and beauty icon Zoë Kravitz and actress and activist mum Lisa Bonet. Then there's Gigi Hadid, who followed in the fashion footsteps of her equally chic mother Yolanda and has now welcomed a daughter of her own with Zayn Malik. Our eyes are firmly peeled for the next style star of the Hadid dynasty.

Marc PiaseckiSienna Miller & Marlowe
In 2024, Sienna Milla's daughter, Marlowe, made her red carpet debut alongside her mother — and at the Cannes Film Festival, no less. The pair walked the red carpet for the premiere of Miller's film, Horizon: An American Saga. Miller wore a dreamy pale blue gown, while the 11-year-old Marlowe wore a pale pink dress with a large structural flower-like design on the waist. The mother-daughter duo were joined by Miller's boyfriend, Oli Green.
Last year, Marlowe joined her mother at another industry event, sitting with her in the front row of Proenza Schouler’s autumn/winter 2023 show during New York Fashion Week. Back in 2015, when Marlowe was just 3, Miller opened up about how motherhood had changed her, telling The Observer, “I think having a baby really changed everything, if I'm honest. I think that's where it began. The stakes are higher. You have someone that you want to be proud of you eventually.”
Kate Moss & Lila Grace
Although Kate Moss once liked to keep her young daughter Lila Grace out of the public glare, she made an early exception when the two posed together for an American Vogue cover to promote Kate’s fragrance, Lilabelle. Unsurprisingly, considering her pedigree (papa Jefferson Hack is the editor of too-cool-for-school fashion mag Dazed & Confused), Lila was an absolute natural in front of the lens. Now that she's turned 18 Lila has been making an impression on the fashion week runway, but it was the SS22 ‘Fendace’ (yes, that's Fendi and Versace) runway that saw the young star joined on the catwalk by her supermodel mother. Iconic? Understatement.

Angelina Jolie is one of the most revered (not to mention effortlessly stylish) women of all time. Whatever she chooses to wear on the red carpet will inevitably end up on a ‘Best Dressed’ list the next day. And the Eternals premiere was no different. Angelina wore a light-brown gown from Balmain's Resort 2022 collection (paired with a pretty unique chin piece by Tiffany & Co).
Angelina attended the premiere with five of her six children (Maddox, 20, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, and 13-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox), and we couldn't help but notice that Zahara's gown looked very familiar. It turns out the Champagne-coloured gown by Elie Saab Couture was first worn by Angelina wore to the 2014 Academy Awards. Can we borrow it next, please?
