Beyoncé changes her hair colour every 3 weeks
If you want hair like Beyoncé, you're going to have to keep up.
"She changes so much and that's what makes her one of my favourite clients", says Rita. "We can change it every three weeks and consider things like what she's doing, where she's going and what she'll be wearing."
"You’d actually be pretty surprised how last-minute everything is and we don’t actually plan her colour changes in advance."

She loves being blonde
Beyoncé has ditched the sleeker styles and has been embracing her natural curls, something Rita says was a very conscious decision.
"I love that she is embracing a more natural style and texture", says Rita. "It’s wonderful for me as a colourist because she is showing that it’s possible for ethnic girls to have natural hair and still look amazing as blondes.”
"She loves being a blonde and we have mixed up her look with everything from baby blonde to golden blonde.”
As for her hair right now? Rita says it's quite light with lots of honey tones.

Beyoncé's two-step shine secret
When she's away on tour, Beyoncé has her 'hair homework'.
"I encourage her to take lots of the Weekly Remedy Treatments (£34, Selfridges) on tour with her, as her hair is styled with lots of heat and needs some major TLC", says Rita.
"It’s only two products and they're really quick and easy to use, which is essential with how crazy Beyoncé’s schedule is when they’re on the road."
So how does it work? Rita says after shampooing, apply STEP 1 (clearly labelled on the bottle) in place of conditioner, from roots to ends and then rinse off immediately. Then do the exact same, but using the STEP 2 product.
"It really makes hair look healthy and glossy."

After years of working with Beyoncé, Rita has seen her fair share of different hairstyles but says her favourite was when she had a fringe.
