Lip powders are the autumn makeup trend we're obsessed with and here's why
Lip powder sounds like a ridiculous concept, we know. Who wants to cake their mouth with a load of dry, clumpy powder? No thanks.
But open your mind to the newest K-beauty trend and you'll be pleasantly surprised. A true lip powder (like the Cle option below) might be loose in the tube, but on impact with the lips, the micro-capsulated contents react with the natural oil on your lips and melt to a smooth, matte finish.
Others come with a cushion applicator that helps to liquify the milled formula before it hits your pout. And some are less obvious, with a solid bullet containing the same highly-pigmented stuff that gives the super-soft finish.

As for the look? "The trend is really about, a soft tint on the lips, a moisturising matte – so you get the beautiful matte texture with no weight and tons of comfort", says Mac Cosmetics Director of Digital Content & Artistry, Ashley Rudder.
