The best brow tints you can use at home for extra definition

Eyebrows have been on an evolutionary journey over the past decade, both collectively and personally. The popular trends have ranged from a thin, sliver of a brow in the early 2000s to the feathery, brushed-up brows we covet today. Personally, my brows have had any even bigger glow up, going from what I dub the 'invisi-brow' (pale, wispy hairs that were almost impossible to see, made worse by the fact my head hair is dark brunette), to defined and full brows in more recent years. It's not that the brow hairs have magically changed colour - my newfound brow game can be entirely attributed to various brow treatments.

A few years ago, I had my eyebrows microbladed, but it's a semi-permanent treatment and the results have almost completely worn off. I had been meaning to book in for a brow lamination treatment alongside my regular tint prior to lockdown, but salon closures meant neither treatment happened. In other words, the invisi-brow is back.

I would have spent far too much of my 2020 filling in my brows every morning with an arsenal of brow pencils and gels, but luckily, I discovered the beauty of at-home, DIY brow tints. In my opinion, the results compete with professional treatments in terms of colour pay off and lasting power - the only thing to master is the application process itself.

Once you've decided on your shape, try to apply the tint to the hairs as precisely as possible to avoid dyeing the surrounding skin (although, I've also done this a fair few times, and can reassure you that it fades from skin after around 24 hours).
