Major The Capture season 3 spoilers ahead!

The Capture season 3 is quickly becoming one of the most gripping shows on TV. It’s been a year since Carey stunned the nation by broadcasting a live deepfake of a government minister, exposing the secretive Correction programme. Now, she’s stepped up as Acting Commander of Counter Terrorism Command, determined to restore public faith in surveillance with the cutting-edge Operation Veritas camera system. But Correction still seems to be wreaking havoc throughout the series — when Isaac Turner (Paapa Essiedu) is shot, Carey sees the gunman with her own eyes — but, wouldn't you know it, the cameras captured someone completely different. In another mind-bending twist, she soon discovers that her new Commander looks an awful lot like the gunman she saw.

And we have a lot of questions. Has Pearson's heart monitor got something to do with this latest conspiracy? Was he really tortured? Who is Simon? Is Correction really working with mind control now?

The Capture first hit our TV screens in 2019, uncannily foreshadowing the explosive rise of deepfakes we’ve since come to recognise in the real world. It’s a terrifying watch, but a necessary one, and we can’t wait to dive into season three’s high-stakes game of cat and mouse, where truth is slippery, and every frame of footage feels suspect.

Who’s in The Capture cast?

Obviously, Holliday Grainger is back as Rachel Carey, who has now stepped up as Acting Commander of Counter Terrorism Command, a year after shocking the nation with a live deepfake that exposed the secretive Correction programme.

On how her character has changed over the years, Grainger said, “When we first meet Carey in series one, she’s on the fast-track scheme in the Met – ambitious, determined, and not necessarily making friends. She discovers Correction, an illegal system of faking video evidence, and because of her strong moral compass, she becomes a whistleblower rather than looking the other way. Across series one and two, she fights to expose Correction, and by series three, she’s risen rapidly through the ranks. She believes her integrity is intact, but series three explores what happens when those morals begin to fracture.”

But who else will be joining her in the latest instalment of the gripping BBC thriller?
