Sarah Jessica Parker has just introduced us to a new, unexpected trend and we're kind of here for it.
The Sex and the City star attended the 2024 Met Gala for the 12th time this year, returning to the carpet following her 2022 appearance for the “Gilded Glamour” exhibit.
Parker arrived at this year's event alongside her longtime pal Any Cohen who wore a simple black tuxedo which allowed SJP's dress to take centre stage.
In keeping with this year's “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme and dress code of the “Garden of Time”, Parker wore a sculptural Richard Quinn corset gown with an airy, bouffant fascinator-esque Philip Treacy layered tulle hat and Briony Raymond and Marlo Laz jewellery which included a string of pearls even longer than her dress.
But the one element of her look that caught us off guard was her tights over shoes situation. Featuring intricate botanical details to match her dress, SJP wore her bedazzled sheer tights over nude stilettos for a subtle yet seamless final effect.

This delicate detailing of the embellished tights draws the look together, perfectly complementing her Benedetta Bruzziches bag and jewellery.
