Florence Pugh is no stranger to a hair switch-up: she's given us pixie crops, bixie crops, bobs and lobs over the past year and a half, but the actress debuted her most extreme chop yet at the Met Gala 2023 when she showed up with a full buzzcut, decorated with a sky-high feather headpiece.

Pairing the look with softly smoked out eyes and a simple rose bud lip, her new statement cut did all the talking and showed off her bone structure. As the new face of Valentino, it made sense that her outfit was made by the brand, but the simple white sweetheart neckline gown, with black ribbon detail complemented her new cut perfectly.

Florence reportedly chopped her hair a few days ago for her upcoming film, We Live In Time, a rom-com she's filming in London with Spider-Man actor, Andrew Garfield. But this is the first time she's shown her new hairstyle in public.

Only three days ago, Florence attended the reopening of Tiffany & Co's flagship store in New York, but we're guessing she'd already made the cut, since her blonde lob looked like a wig.

Prior to that, Flo had grown her hair to its longest length in months after slicing it into a pixie cut in October 2021.

However, it's not the first time Florence has chopped her hair for a role. She opened up about convincing her ex, Zach Braff, to let her cut her hair on-screen for her role as Allison in A Good Person (which Zach produced).

While talking to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show last month she said: “It was my idea. I said, ‘Zach, I think I should chop my hair off at the beginning of the movie.’ And he was like, ‘Cool, that’s not going to work.’ It was like, ‘How do we do this shooting in order?’ And I was like, ‘You’ll figure it out.’” She added: “he came and spoke to me, very tentatively and was like, ‘Florence, we can’t do this, we need to use a wig.’ And I was like, ‘You’ll figure it out.’" But she must have been persuasive because she revealed "they figured it out! I did it.”

Since then, her hair stylist, Peter Lux, has had to get pretty creative with her hairstyles, so it was only a matter of time before she took things back to her roots.
