Patrick Ta has worked on the faces of some of the most in-demand celebs and models including Ariana Grande, Chrissy Teigen, Adriana Lima and the Hadid duo and he's just been appointed Global Colour Artist for Shiseido.

In an exclusive video with Patrick, GLAMOUR finds out exactly how to recreate his famous bold lip look that was seen on none other than Victoria's Secret angel Adriana Lima at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, as well as take a first-look at Shiseido's newly revamped colour cosmetic range (spoiler: it's MAJOR).

Patrick has a few failsafe tips to nail the bold lip look that he was able to share. Firstly, big up the blush - but not too much. A modest blush will look washed out against a bold lip, so if you want to add colour to the complexion, go big on the blush. Shiseido's new Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush is great for either a paired down day-look, or full red carpet glamour as it is extremely buildable and blendable.

Secondly, carefully define the lips with an ultra precise outline before filling in the colour (this is what will really make them pop). Either use a sharp angled lip brush to apply and a concealer to clear up any mistakes, or Shiseido's new Modern Matte Powder Lipstick has a sharp edge to the bullet, making it easy to get that definition when applied directly.

Finally, if you're going for a statement lip, all you'll need to finish is a little highlighter on the cheekbones, because quite frankly, who doesn't love a pop of sparkle?
