Another day and another trend is getting crowned on #beautytok. This time it's the turn of “toasty makeup” which real ones may already recognise from last summer. The term began spiking after Hailey Bieber shared a “toasty glam” tutorial to her TikTok last May (which racked up over 20 million views and caused searches on Pinterest to surge by 1566%). But it looks like we're definitely not over it, since Google searches around the trend are currently up by 4525%.
What is toasty makeup?
For the uninitiated, the trend calls for warm tones like caramel, honey, terracotta and bronze across eyes, lips and cheeks to create a golden hour glow that's perfect for summer. And, instead of harsh lines or contour the look calls for a softly blended, soft-focus finish that feels more natural.

How to get toasty makeup?
In Hailey's video she pointed out in the caption that she created the look with “no brushes” and “fingers only”. She tapped up creamy formulas that she could blend with her hands, including a warm, orange-toned cream bronzer (rather than a classic cool-toned contour). You can edit this to your skin tone, the key is to choose something with an orange or red undertone. We love Saie's Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer and Makeup By Mario's Soft Sculpt Transforming Skin Enhance. To keep things cohesive, Hailey appeared to apply the same bronzer over her eyelids, too.
She blended one of her Rhode Pocket Blush sticks across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, again opting for a bronze-terracotta colour, like Toasted Teddy. For an extra sun-kissed effect, she sketched on some freckles with a freckle pen. Then she lined her lips with a caramel shade, like her Peptide Lip Shape in Balance. And she finished with a coat of mascara on her lashes.
You can switch things up with the products already in your makeup bag, but bronzer is your best friend for this one (bonus points if it's creamy and blendable).
