If you're a fan of The Walking Dead - this one's for you. A brand new post-apocalyptic series is coming to Netflix on May 4 and it looks epic.
The Rain is a dystopian thriller following two siblings, six years after contaminated rain wipes out most of civilisation. After leaving the safety of their bunker in Scandanavia (supposedly the happiest region in the world), they go in search of other signs of life.
The show is the first Danish Netflix original series and it stars Alba August and Mikkel Boe Følsgaar. Watch the teaser trailer below:
In February it was revealed that Netflix is set to reach a total of more than 700 original series and movies in 2018, costing over $8 billion. At the end of last year the streaming service had 117.6 million members worldwide.
With Stranger Things , The Crown , Narcos, Orange is the New Black, and now The Rain, Netflix is our favourite place to discover new content. Looks like we won't be leaving the sofa for a while.
