Actress Olivia Colman 'will ascend to the throne' in hit Netflix TV drama The Crown, taking over from Claire Foy.
Bring it on. We will obviously miss Claire Foy playing the Queen - she is incredible - and some fans on Twitter are sad to see her go.

Claire Foy, 33, won a Golden Globe for her portrait of Elizabeth II in the first ten episodes of the series and finished shooting season two this spring.

Olivia, 43, is set to start filming ten episodes early next year, and her scenes will be aired in 2019 but she needn't get comfortabe because producers will be looking for a third actress to play HRH, aged 60-90.

Designed by the official Court Designer, Norman Hartnell, the dress had a fit and flare silhouette with a vast, fabulous lace train. Due to ongoing rationing, the Queen had to purchase the material using coupons โ the government gave her 200 extra. It was still significantly snazzier than most other dresses of the time: the veil was inspired by a Botticelli painting, and the dress featured 10,000 seed pearls and crystals from America.
