The next ‘it’ shoe has officially arrived. We've had our credit cards at the ready ever since we saw the Miu Miu ballet pumps walk the A/W 2022 runway in Paris, and so, it would seem, have the rest of the fashion world.
The collection largely consisted of the brand's signature look: uber-mini pleated skirts and ab-revealing knitwear adorned with sporty stripes, paying homage to the tennis court. But it was the ballerina slippers with the logo-embroidered Mary Jane-style straps that really caused a stir. Paired with thick knitted socks, they were a true sign that Balletcore isn't going anywhere.

Miu Miu released a pair of similar style back in 2016, featuring chunky straps and ribbons to tie up your ankle (just like the real thing). They went viral, of course, and were soon appearing on the feet of every influencer, stylist and fashion editor known to man. There have been various iterations of the style since then, but nothing to write home about as much - up until their latest satin flats dropped that is.
Available (if you can source them) in five colours, Miu Miu ballet pumps are officially top of everyone's footwear wishlists.
