There would be no Met Gala without Anna Wintour or without at least one risque dress–usually courtesy of the Kardashians. Nor would it be possible for the ceremony, organised annually by the director of Vogue and the Metropolitan Museum of New York, to take place without the appearance of platform heels.

We have many notable cases–here you can see the list of the most iconic–but none as impressive and unforgettable as that of Teyana Taylor. The singer (and today's red carpet streaming presenter) attended the Met Gala red carpet in a Marc Jacobs design in collaboration with costume designer Ruth E. Carter, whose analysis would be enough for an entire report because it is so complex.

It has everything: a pinstripe suit, a cape, a hat, a cane, brooches, embroidery, feathers, roses, messages on the clothes to reaffirm the dress code (Tailor-made for you) and the theme of the exhibition: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”.

But let's focus on the shoes. Looking at them, one can perfectly understand that the styling has come from the creative mind of Marc Jacobs, as well as his heels. Teyana Taylor's footwear will go down in the annals of the ceremony's history as the highest heeled and most platformed shoes in living memory.
