The latest trend in sex tech? To cute-ify our vibrators, including the LELO DOT. Because crafting them to mimic sweet characters and symbols — AKA hearts, unicorns and penguins — or finishing them in adorable pastel hues, hopefully means we won't feel the need to stash them in the closest drawer.
But the pinpoint clitoral vibrator is so much more than its aesthetics. The brand intended to create ‘a completely new and unique sensation, reinventing orgasms as we know them', and that it has, thanks to the sex toy's revolutionary elliptical movement, easy-to-handle loop design and super flexible tip.
FYI, LELO is the sexual wellness powerhouse responsible for most of our favourites, including the SONA 2 Cruise Sonic Massager and the GIGI 2 G-Spot Vibrator. So it's unsurprising fans have been raving about this adult toy too, with one labelling it ‘spicy' and another suggesting it might be 'too good.'
Interested? Me too. Hence why I dedicated a week to properly road-testing this clitoral stimulator's every vibration pattern in various positions. After all, how else will you know which best sex toys are actually worth your hard-earned cash? So, stay tuned for a rundown of its key characteristics, answers to your FAQs and my honest LELO DOT review.
Oh, and perhaps I should mention that it's now 42% off, thanks to the return of the Amazon Prime Day sale. Now that's a sexy saving.

So it might look more like a thermometer or a box cutter – the interesting observation of one of my GLAMOUR neighbours — but this raindrop-shaped sex toy is primed for the solo pursuit of pleasure. The flat-tipped end of the single arm has been designed to send intense vibrations to one spot, whether that be your clitoris, nipple or inner thigh. But LELO has added some other unique features, including that loop handle, which aids greater control, whatever position you choose to use it in.
However, it's the revolutionary elliptical motion — think like a figure of eight — that had us really excited. Rather than a constant buzz, it delivers a sweeping sensation, something like small waves of pleasure hitting your sensitive spots over and over. In terms of controlling the luxury sex toy, it's easy and intuitive, thanks to the three-button control panel. Simply hold down the centre of the three to turn it before using the ‘+’ and ‘—’ to tailor the intensity. Then, head back to the middle to power down.
Feels like… a stream of gentle pecks from your partner.

How we tested the LELO DOT Vibrator:
They say you shouldn't take your work home with you, but on this occasion, it felt apt. Yep, I personally trialled the clit vibrator, both on my own and with my male partner, on various occasions. This involved lining the tip with water-based lube — currently, I'm working through a tube of the Smile Makers Generous Gel — before experimenting with different modes and angles while in various sex positions. Water-based is the best lubricant to limit friction when solo-pleasuring with silicone sex toys. Want to stay loyal? You could also stick with LELO's Personal Moisturizer.
While enjoying the gentle laps of pleasure, I considered its design, dimensions, ease of use, battery life, noise levels and overall value for money. But, because we're all different in terms of our anatomies and sexual tastes, I also consulted various online reviews for pros and cons to consider.

LELO DOT Vibrator: GLAMOUR's Verdict
| OVERALL RATING | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
|---|---|
| Design | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| Performance | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ |
| Variety of modes | ⭐⭐⭐ |
| Sound level | ⭐⭐⭐ |
| Pros | Super lightweight, coming in at under 100 grams. We also love that this one's 100% waterproof, meaning you can use it in the tub, and fairly quiet — like a loud whisper. |
| Cons | The eight settings are interesting (and not too intense for beginners) but nothing we haven't seen before. |
After taking the LELO DOT vibrator out of its package and charging it with the included USB cable, I noticed there were a few different ways to hold it against my body. The shaft has a flat side that you can hold against your clitoris for fuller sensations, or you can turn it around for very pinpointed stimulation. You can also choose to hold it vertically to cover the clitoris’s whole length, horizontally to get the whole width, diagonally, or anything in between. The entire shaft of the toy vibrates a little bit, so you can also use the wider parts of it, though the vibration is concentrated at the end.
The method that worked best for me was to hold the flat edge over my clitoris horizontally so that I got the vibrations from the tip plus a bit more right over my clit and on the sides. It was not the strongest vibrator that I’ve used, but with a bit of patience and readjusting, it was enough to get me to a sharp and intense orgasm — and then a few more.
Because the area of the vibrator making contact with my clitoris was small, it was easy to reach my other hand down and put a finger in my vagina as well, making for extra strong orgasms. I can imagine the LELO DOT vibrator's slim design would also make it good to use during intercourse since it would leave room for both people’s bodies without getting in the way.
All in all, I had three orgasms in about 20 minutes, which was not bad. But it was still not quite what I was expecting, given that LELO advertises the LELO DOT vibrator as a source of ‘infinite pleasure’ providing ‘intense multiple orgasms’ — and that its last new release, IDA Wave, gave me 15 orgasms and the stamina to keep going for an hour. The ‘complete elimination of post-orgasm numbness and saturation’ promised in the DOT press release wasn’t what I experienced; I felt pretty spent and unresponsive after the third. I also kind of wished that I had two of them so that I could surround my whole clitoris with vibrations, not just stimulate part of it.
I’d recommend this toy to those who enjoy having a very small area stimulated very intensely or who just want to know what that feels like. However, for the price (which is in line with the rest of the LELO sex toys), the DOT is more of a novelty than a staple; it wouldn’t be among my top picks for those who struggle with orgasms, want to have more, or generally want something very powerful. I’d say it’s more for advanced sex toy users who simply would like to experience the latest that sex tech has to offer — and to see for themselves whether ‘infinite pleasure’ can be achieved.
