Married At First Sight Australia may still be airing here in the UK, but over in Australia, the show has already wrapped up – and we are starting to get updates about how the couples have been faring since final vows.
Jayden and Eden certainly had an interesting journey on the show. From their magical honeymoon to Jayden’s now-infamous confession about his ex to their ever-increasing communication issues, their relationship has had plenty of ups and downs.
Curious to find out whether Jayden and Eden made it all the way to final vows (and beyond)? Well, Eden has just provided a major update about their relationship… so, read on – if you’re up for spoilers, that is.
Jayden and Eden’s journey on MAFs Australia
Jayden and Eden began the show as a golden couple, however, over the weeks, cracks started to show. After Eden revealed her trust issues, Jayden confessed that – well – he might not be that trustworthy. He explained that he handled a cheating ex situation by sleeping with her best friend — in front of her.

Eden’s issues with anxiety (and Jayden’s apparent difficulty in understanding them) also took a toll on their relationship. One week, Eden claimed to be too anxious to attend one of the dinner parties. "It's clear that I can't handle this, these events give me such anxiety, it's really not worth me doing it anymore... I'm only going to ruin our relationship, and I don't want to ruin it," she told Jayden, who couldn’t seem to understand how crippling her anxiety was.

Later in the show, their communication difficulties continued to plague their relationship. "I can't handle conflict with Jayden, he just goes round in circles and he goes on and on and on and just doesn't let up and doesn't hear what I am saying... I just don't even say anything, I usually just agree because it is easier to just agree with Jayden," said Eden to the experts.
A look at the MAFS couple's life since leaving the experiment.

Jayden and Eden at the final vows
Despite all of the bumps along the way, Jayden and Eden made it to the final vow ceremony where they both declared their intention to continue on in the relationship.
“You're an amazing woman who deserves a true gentleman to stand beside you. Sometimes I worry that I may not be worthy to be that man,” said Jayden to Eden. “I worry about not being good enough for you and not being able to fulfil your needs and expectations in a partner. This decision is not one that I have taken lightly. We are both good people and we both deserve a loving relationship. Eden, the feeling I have for you I have never felt in my life. There is nobody else I want to be with.”
It's been a busy season for MAFs.

He went on, “I can see myself spending the rest of our lives together and I can see you being a great mother to all of our children, with baby humans or golden retrievers, we can have a few of each.”
Eden returned the sentiment: “I now step out of this experiment knowing exactly what I want from a partner and that is you. I can't thank you enough for the love, affection and kindness that you showed me. I hope I get to experience it for a lifetime. I can't wait to bring a relationship to everyday life so I can tell you that I love you every single day,” she said.

However, since then, Eden has provided a sad update on her relationship status.

In an Instagram post in April 2024, she revealed that she and Jayden had parted ways.
“When I made the decision at final vows to be with Jayden, I really did that with long-term intentions,” she wrote. “Jayden & I spent many months together after the experiment, during which Cub gained a dad and I gained a second family who I’m truly grateful for.
“I’m saddened to share that toward the end of the show airing, our relationship came to an unexpected end. The ‘reality’ is, the person I chose didn’t choose me. Whilst I’m disappointed, I will never regret the experiment, the people I met, the lessons I learnt and the growth this process has had on me.
“Thank you for supporting us and for also wishing for the same fairytale that I had hoped for.”

Jayden also posted his own statement on Instagram about the breakup. “Sometimes in life, things don’t always go the way you had hoped for,” he wrote. "After the experiment, Eden and I went back to the Gold Coast and continued to enjoy living our lives together and getting to know each other every day.
“However, unfortunately, our relationship ended not long before the end of the experiment airing. As sad as it is, I’m so glad I got to go through this with such an amazing woman and a beautiful son. 🐶 You will both always have a second family on the Gold Coast. ❤️”
Eden later spoke to Daily Mail Australia about the shock of the break up and the outpouring of public support.
“It's been crazy to be honest,” she said. “I really didn't expect such love and support from everybody. And I'm really grateful for that.”
After a season filled with drama, did any couples make it all the way?
