Ghosted is the new movie starring Ana de Armas and Chris Evans that is set to put a new spin on Hollywood's typical comedy movies with a fun, spy-themed plot.
I mean, first of all, it's clear that its leads are at ease with each other, as this is the third time Ana and Chris have worked together following 2019's Knives Out and Netflix's 2022 action movie The Gray Man alongside Ryan Gosling. In this movie, which initially had Marriage Story actress Scarlett Johansson as its lead before she dropped out, sees Cole (Evans) follow Sadie (de Armas) across the world after falling in love with her, only to discover she isn't who she said she was. Ghosted's official Apple TV+ synopsis reads: "Salt-of-the-earth Cole (Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (de Armas)—but then makes the shocking discovery that she's a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world."
The movie, which Dexter Fletcher directs, is said to have the same vibe as 2005's Mr. & Mrs Smith starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and it has even been compared to 1980s classic Romancing the Stone, which saw actress Kathleen Turner in the lead role.
