Emily in Paris season three feels like a lifetime ago, and we're ready to go back to Paris with Emily and the gang for a fourth instalment of the Netflix smash show.
With us now less than a month away from its release, we've finally been given a trailer for the new season and we simply cannot wait. The new clip shows Emily trying to work out her future following her break-up with Alfie, with her explaining that she's “ready for new experiences” while still grappling with lingering feelings for Alfie and Gabriel.
But who will she choose?
This is all before we even get to Sylvie's “thorny dilemma from her past” and Mindy's Eurovision entry.
Emily in Paris season 4 will also be the first time that the show will be released in two parts, with the first dropping in August, followed by the second in September.

Back in June we were treated to some gorgeous first-look pics, proving that not only is Emily back, so is the fashion and dreamy locations.
Given the way things were left at the crazy series 3 finale, we were relieved to see Alfie is still on the scene. It looks like they're watching a sporting event together, which is cute – maybe the French Open?
We know that Emily and Gabriel still have that intense forbidden romance/sexual chemistry thing going on, but they're also on a mission to get a Michelin star for Gabriel's restaurant this season – could this be them celebrating?
As well as a trip to Rome, is Switzerland on the cards for our Emily? Obsessed with the coat.

We love a festive vibe for Emily – is she headed home to Chicago for Christmas or on a European getaway?
We can definitely expect even braver looks from the newest series. “Emily is really coming into her own, asserting herself, becoming much stronger with a style that is reinterpreting Parisian fashion codes," the show's costume designer Marylin Fitoussi told Netflix's TUDUM. "And our motto was obviously to have fun, but to take maximum risks.”
We don't have long to wait now for a new series. Emily in Paris season 4 will be split into two five-episode parts, with part one dropping on Netflix on 15th August, and part two landing on 12th September.
This comes after both Netflix and Lily Collins previously announced that the show was back in production in January. “BONJOUR SEASON FOUR… Emily in Paris is back in production,” read the streamer's social media post.
Alongside the post was a photo, also shared by Lily, showing the title star holding her script for ‘episode 401’ for a table read dated 17 January 2024. Also note: her adorable Eiffel tower-adorned shirt.

Emily in Paris season 4 release date
On 3rd May it was announced that Emily in Paris season 4 will be split into two five-episode parts, with part one premiering on 15th August and part two premiering on 12th September.

Lily Collins will be back as the titular Emily, of course, and there have been no announced shakeups to any of the rest of the regular cast. (Hopefully season four will also include at least one appearance by Kate Walsh as Emily's former American boss.)
Brigitte Macron, the wife of French president Emmanuel Macron is also set to make a cameo in season 4.
More importantly, we're keeping our eyes open for any new characters that might be introduced. Another love interest perhaps? When in Paris, one can never have too many.
What will Emily in Paris season 4 be about?
Lily has already given us a few hints about what's to come in the next series. Apparently, Emily will be heading out of Paris during the fourth season. During Netflix's TUDUM event in 2023, Lily weighed in on what we can expect for the new season, and apparently a trip to Rome is on the list.
"While Emily's heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season," she said. “Don't be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”
According to a teaser video released by Netflix last year, the show might also see Emily travelling as far as Tokyo.
The official synopsis for season 4 reads: "After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed.
“At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups. Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.”
