Emily in Paris Season Three Everything You Need To Know

This article contains Emily in Paris season two spoilers.

With the new season of Emily in Paris FINALLY upon us, Netflix have treated us to a serving of fashion, romantic drama and Insta-worthy Parisian beauty. Just in time for Christmas.

Lily Collins is bringing us all the fresh, sometimes questionable, lewks, as well as love triangles with impossibly beautiful men and really-quite-unbelievable career dramas, all the elements of escapism that we'd expect from Emily in Paris, really.

Fans – and not-so-big fans – of the show have taken to Twitter to discuss their rather unique relationship with Emily in Paris. Are they hate watching? Are they obsessed with the clear departure from any semblance of reality?

GLAMOUR has pulled together the best audience reactions to season three so far, as well as everything else you need to know.

How are fans reacting to season three of Emily in Paris so far?

One Twitter user described her viewing experience of Emily in Paris as “like receiving a lobotomy via audiovisual material which is exactly what I want from a TV show”, adding that the show is "The definition of ‘no thoughts just vibes’".

Another posted: “each bad review for emily in paris season 3 only makes it more likely that i will watch it. for reasons we do not fully understand at this time, there's almost nothing you could say about this abominable show that will stop me from watching it”.

We could not relate more to the way fans are describing the way Emily in Paris takes over our minds, no matter how crazy we think it might be.

One such tweet reads: “happy Emily in Paris season 3 day to all of us who have been recruited to this cult against our wills” and another perfectly sums it up with: “wait emily in paris season 3 is out? excuse me while i make this my entire personality for the next week”.

How does season three of Emily in Paris begin?

We enter the third season with Emily wondering whether to leave Paris for a job offer from her boss Madeline (Kate Walsh) or follow her mentor Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) to a new company. Emily (Lily Collins) appears to be "pulling double duty" and juggling both, but we know that can't last for long.

If that wasn't enough for our loveable heroine, her steamy love triangle with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) continues. Who will she choose?

We can see her in the trailer telling her friend Mindy: "My entire life I've been practical. I make one romantic decision, and it bit me in the a**. Mindy asks: "Is this about work or Gabriel?" Lily cheekily clarified: "Paris!" We love it!

What teasers have we had from the Emily in Paris cast and team about season three?

This comes after Lily shared some hints about season three! On October 13, she told Entertainment Tonight there is set to be plenty more romantic drama in the next instalment of the show, which has also been renewed for a fourth season. "More love triangles, more drama, more laughs, more fashion, more locations, more France!" she said, adding that fans should also prepare themselves for "a lot of cliffhangers." Eek.

Lily has also previously shared some sneak peeks at the next series of Emily in Paris, and hinted at the plot. In a post shared on her Instagram account, the actress posted several snaps from the new season with the caption: “First look at @emilyinparis Saison Trois!! Get ready for new looks, new locations, new love triangles… Merci France for being a home away from home and embracing us yet again. So proud of this cast and crew and cannot WAIT for you all to see what our girl Emily gets up to! Get ready for another wild ride…”

The pictures show Emily, who sports a new fringed do, still living her best Parisian life with her colleagues. The new synopsis from the show reads: "One year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job, Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life. Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie — at work and in her romantic life — and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides."

This update comes a few months after it was confirmed that Lucien Laviscount would be reprising his role as Alfie – the British bad boy – in season three of Netflix's  Emily in Paris

During the cast's PaleyFest panel appearance earlier this year, Darren Star remained tight-lipped about the plot details but admitted that some elements of the show would be filmed outside of Paris (via Variety):

“We’re always thinking about how we can show Paris,” Star said. “It’s not hard to make Paris look amazing, because it is, from wherever you look or wherever you point the camera. We will always want the story to drive locations. but we have some really beautiful locations lined up for season three in France, not just in Paris."

In the meantime, why not watch Lily Collins and Ashley Park play GLAMOUR's Bestie Test instead? Don't say we never treat you.
