Netflix has recently dropped its latest instalment in the Selling (Sunset, The OC etc) franchise – Selling The City, based in New York and starring real estate boss, Eleonora Srugo.
Throughout the series, she helms a team of agents looking to close the most incredible deals for the most beautiful, luxe pieces of New York real estate.
But who is Eleonora Srugo, really? Here's what we know about the Selling The City star.

Who is Eleonora Srugo?
She is a long-time estate agent superstar born in Israel and raised in New York, having joined real estate firm Douglas Elliman back in 2009 and, according to her bio, worked to “consistently rank among the city's Top 10 Individual Agents”. In 2023, she struck out and formed her own Eleonora and Co team at Douglas Elliman after closing a $75 million deal, making part of the firm her own in a way. According to her company profile she is quadrilingual, being fluent in English and Hebrew, and proficient in German and Spanish.
We have no idea how she has the time, but Eleonora also has her own fitness-focussed YouTube channel, which sees her document her incredible exercise regime, which involves a lot of weight training. So impressive.
What is Eleonora's role in Selling The City?
Selling The City sees her lead a team of agents in their mission to sell real estate across NYC, promoting a strong approach towards leadership and her motivation to mentor “women who were comfortable learning”.
"I was looking for open minds and women who were comfortable learning,” she told Netflix's Tudum. “I’m at a place now where I can share my secret sauce and mentor people, knowing that it does not take away from me. Their success, shine, and accomplishments make everyone better — and actually more money.”
She has also commented on how her real estate world differs from that of Jason and Brett Oppenheim's in Selling Sunset and Selling The OC. Basically, a woman is running the show this time. “I have a lot of respect for those guys and what they’ve built,” Srugo says. “But this is a little different. We’re a little grittier, and a woman is leading the team. The city also takes everything to another level. There’s a really high barrier to entry in this market, and it makes it extraordinarily competitive.”
Is Eleonora Srugo in a relationship?
She has been pretty vocal about the fact that she's not prioritising her love life right now, what with how busy she is with work and the scrutiny she faces from the media and how that has affected her personal life. We also know she had a romantic connection with colleague Justin, but at this point they are just friends.
“There is zero going on with my dating life right now,” she has said. “It’s just not my strong suit, and I’ve traditionally been a lot more guarded.” And it’s not hard to understand why, as she’s dealt with a fair amount of tumult in the press.
“Unfortunately, a very disparaging and nasty rumour was created and spread about me and someone who I was not even remotely romantically involved with whatsoever,” Eleonora added. “It was a challenging time in my life, and I think that people need to be a little less reckless with women’s reputations and their careers. It was really an experience that shaped me and jaded me."
