With just a fortnight to go until the release of Daisy Jones & The Six – the bestselling Taylor Jenkins Reid novel turned television series – on Amazon's Prime Video, we've been graced with a full-length trailer for our viewing pleasure.
The two minute 42 second long trailer provides an action-packed preview of what's to come from the long-awaited series, which was produced by Reese Witherspoon's company, Hello Sunshine and will feature Riley Keough, the daughter of the late-Lisa Marie Presley and Elvis' granddaughter, alongside Sam Claflin, and the recently released trailer proves that musical talents don't fall far from the tree.
Here's everything we know about the show adaption so far…
Is there a trailer for Daisy Jones & The Six?
Based on the book of the same name, Daisy Jones & The Six follows the story of a fictional rock band in the 1970s – loosely inspired by the one and only Fleetwood Mac – who mysteriously split up at the peak of their success, follow a sold-out gig in Chicago. It's a “where did it all go wrong?” narrative that goes back in time to unpack what tore the band apart.

From the beginning of the trailer, we're set up for “trouble in paradise” vibes as a voiceover complains, “I don’t even know why we're doing this, it's not a duet”, while Keough's character challenges: “Do you guys want to record something or fight more?” – neatly embodying a central question of the narrative.
We then hear a soft, acoustic guitar song that forms part of the soundtrack, following by sentimental footage of the fictional band singing together in the studio and then on stage (with some seriously Stevie Nicks-esque costumes from Keogh). We've got chills!
There's also a clear romance story running through the narratives – shots of steamy sex scenes followed by arguments (uh oh) that hint of the series' drama. Oh, and then there's a dramatic clip of guitar smashing and physical fighting, leaving us on a total cliffhanger for what's to come.

What is the plot of Daisy Jones & The Six?
The plotline, as per Prime Video itself, goes: “Based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Daisy Jones & The Six is a limited musical-drama series detailing the rise and precipitous fall of a renowned rock band. In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Fronted by two charismatic lead singers — Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne — the band had risen from obscurity to fame. And then, after a sold-out show at Chicago's Soldier Field, they called it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.”
It's thought that the series will follow a similar format and story to the book, which sees the band look back on their experiences in documentary style, 20 years later.
Who's in the cast of Daisy Jones & The Six?
The series stars Riley Keough (granddaughter of Elvis Presley) as Daisy Jones, Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, and Tom Wright as Teddy Price, with a special guest appearance by Timothy Olyphant as Rod Reyes.
Are there in any pictures from the series?
There are – first look pictures were released back in January this year, and they're giving serious 70s rock band vibes:
Do the actors really sing?
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Riley Keough and Sam Claflin revealed that they had undergone extensive vocal training in order to embody their characters.
Riley said: “I didn’t even know how one gets to be able to sing loud. I went to a vocal coach and I was like, ‘they need me to belt.’”
She added: "I was like, ‘I have to do it’. I’m gonna go to this vocal coach, and he’s gonna teach me how to f**king belt, whatever I need to do to get this. It really became about pushing myself to do things I’ve never done before.”
Sam also admitted he had no prior musical experience. “I have to say, I’d never picked up a guitar before I got this part… And, you know, having read the book, it wasn’t overly clear that I was due to be playing because we took some creative freedom and slightly shifted the parts a little bit, meaning that I was going to be playing not lead guitar, thank God, but rhythm guitar. I had to learn how to hold the guitar, how to strum a guitar. I had the biggest journey to go with the singing as well,” he said.
When's the release date of Daisy Jones & The Six?
The show will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on 3 March, with new episodes rolling out weekly every Friday until 24th March. The series will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
