Dearest, gentle Bridgerton fans: it is time to rejoin the Ton for a brand‑new marriage season.
The first half of Bridgerton season 4 dropped on Netflix on 29 January, and the internet is already buzzing. Who knows… it might even top the fan-favourite moments from season 2. Sorry, Kanthony.
Season 4 of the Netflix period drama is set to drop in early 2026, and Yerin will star as romantic lead Sophie.

We’re back in London with all our favourites, including the ever‑witty Lady and Lord Whistledown — now new parents Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). But while it’s lovely to catch up with them, this season our attention is on the main romantic pursuit. Benedict Bridgerton is on the hunt for a wife, and a most unexpected woman catches his eye…
We won’t spoil any more, because we know you’re ready to curl up on the sofa and soak up every ounce of glitz and glamour yourself. Instead, here’s everything you need to know about the Bridgerton season four release schedule — including when part two will arrive!
How many episodes are in Bridgerton season 4, part 1?
Bridgerton Season 4 is split into two parts, with four episodes each. That makes a total of eight episodes, just like Season 3.
When will Bridgerton season 4 part 2 be released?
The second half of the season will drop on 26 February. But while we wait, an official teaser has been released by Netflix, which hints towards what we can look forward to in part two.
The trailer invites us to dip back into Benedict and Sophie’s illicit romance. The pair of course have feelings for each other, but Sophie's reaction at being asked to be Benedict's mistress (her own mother was a maid turned mistress), makes us wonder whether or not she will allow herself to be carried away with the love affair. We suppose all remains to be seen! Very exciting, though.

Bridgerton season 4 plot
Bridgerton season 4 is based on Julia Quinn’s third book, An Offer from a Gentleman, and follows Benedict Bridgerton as he hunts for a mysterious woman he met at his mother’s masquerade ball. All the while, he’s falling for Sophie, a maid who he doesn’t realise is actually the same woman—basically, a Regency‑era Cinderella story.
A crash course on Julia Quinn's book series.

"This season is a very different trajectory," showrunner Jess Brownell told Tudum. "Benedict lives in a fantasy world. Sophie lives in a hard reality. You have two characters who are at opposite ends of a pole, and rather than either of them needing to get all the way to the other side, they both need to travel to the middle. Between fantasy and reality, true love lies in the middle — neither one creates the circumstances for romance to bloom. You have to embrace a little bit of both."
Not to forget that we'll get to see old favourites, and explore society knowing who Lady Whistledown is, as well as the newest little Bridgerton!
Who are the new characters in Bridgerton Season 4?
As with previous seasons, new characters are filling their dance cards in the Bridgerton ballroom:
Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha, is a resourceful maid with her own secrets and dreams. She works for the formidable Lady Araminta Gun and catches Benedict’s eye while moonlighting as the mysterious Lady in Silver at a masquerade ball.
Lady Araminta Gun, played by Katie Leung, is twice-married and twice-widowed. With two daughters debuting on the marriage mart this season, she’s feeling the pressure to get at least one of them married off.
Rosamund Li, played by Michelle Mao, is Araminta’s eldest daughter and most prized possession. Beautiful, vain, and eager to please her mother, Rosamund has her sights set firmly on Benedict this social season.
Posy Li, played by Isabella Wei, is Rosamund’s younger, kinder sister who is also debuting this year. Often overshadowed by her older sister, Posy’s chatty and overly friendly nature sometimes gets her into trouble.
And although they aren’t new to Mayfair, beloved Alice Mondrich (Emma Naomi) and Brimsley (Hugh Sachs) step up as part of Season 4’s main cast, adding familiar faces to the mix.
