Dino Bonačić
Freelance Contributor
Croatian-born and London-based, Dino is a freelance fashion journalist, host and lecturer who has been covering fashion and culture for over 10 years. He’s worked at independent magazines and written stories for a variety of international publications – from The Guardian, Sunday Times Style and Financial Times to Dazed, i-D and Gay Times.
As a writer, Dino covers a wide range of topics, touching upon elements of fashion, pop culture and arts in ways that try to look beyond the expected. When it comes to writing and creating content around style, he is passionate about exploring the ways clothes are interpreted by different individuals and how trends are adapted to diverse bodies.
Over the years, he has made his way onto screens big and small, developing and being part of video series, formats and ads. These included an eBay TV spot during prime-time for their Love Island collab, a fashion-themed talk show with Zalando, and a 3-year-long partnership between Condé Nast and Spanish Tourism that saw Dino exploring different parts of the Iberian Peninsula on camera.
He is also a total handbag obsessive, having built a vast collection that spans antique, vintage, contemporary and designer bags. Whenever he gets a free moment, he posts some of his favourite pieces across his purse-themed Instagram account, Substack titled Handbags at Dawn and TikTok @handbagsatdawn.
