Which one are you: minimalist cross-body bag or throw-it-all-in tote?

For me, it’s got to be the big bag. So much easier to carry than a clutch - and practical, too: there’s no need to pare down your possessions, so you know that whatever you might just need, you’ll (probably) find in its depths.

There were giant bags aplenty on the catwalks this AW season, with Balenciaga, Loewe and Phillip Lim giving us some great options for our wish list. I particularly love the Balenciaga totes, these are the perfect carry-all with a great design twist – and great way of injecting some colour into a look.

Too budget-busting? Fortunately, there are no shortage of options for all budgets, as the high street has taken on trend with gusto. Opt for a shot of colour to brighten a dull autumnal day: try red, pink and striped. Or try something in sturdy leather, perfect for a cosy long weekend away.
