The algorithmic nature of TikTok's viral videos is still largely a mystery, but it's brought some incredible products to global attention and influenced the makeup bags of Gen Z around the world.
It’s hardly surprising, therefore, that there are a roster of beauty products that have shot to instant fame thanks to the platform. Too Faced's Lip Injection Maximum Plump Lip Plumper has become a cult favourite with #toofacedlipinjection picking up 53.4 million views thanks to its ability to give plump bee-stung lips.
Meanwhile, US skincare brand CeraVe underwent a nationwide shortage of stock after Hyram posted a viral video on his favourite products. Viewers were transfixed by the products’ transformative powers to treat skin conditions such as acne, as well as by the super affordable price point.
Most recently, we've seen the rise and rise of Tarte's new Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump after beauty influencers Meredith Duxbury and Mikayla Nogueira awarded it five star reviews.
