17 things you never knew about Thylane Blondeau, proving she's more than just a pretty face
Thylane Blondeau is a St. Tropez-born model who was first caught up in headlines at age 10, when she landed her first Vogue Paris editorial. What followed was a seriously impressive modelling career – she’s signed with IMG Models (who also rep Gigi and Bella Hadid), fronted campaigns for the likes of D&G and Versace, and became the global ambassador for L’Oreal Paris, she bagged a role in hit movie Belle & Sebastian: The Adventure Continues, and she even went on to be dubbed "the most beautiful girl in the world." And that all came in just 10 years – she’s only 20 RN. We know.
To date, Thylane Blondeau has a cool 4 million (and counting) Instagram followers and has the likes of Brooklyn Beckham, Kaia Gerber, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, and Barbara Palvin on speed dial, after cementing herself as a face to know in the world of fame. It helps that her parents were in the spotlight, too. Her father Patrick Blondeau was a footballer and played in the Premier League, while her mother Véronika Loubry was a famous television presenter in France. But that’s not to say Blondeau used their success as a springboard – she has well and truly worked her way up the ranks, and she’s now believed to be worth an estimated $4.3 million (roughly £3.2 million).
Between modelling and acting, she’s also trained in classical dance, and plays the piano and drums, while she once enjoyed making vlogs on YouTube, too. Some of Thylane's early modelling ignited controversy in the industry in 2011 when an editorial she starred in the Vogue Paris supplement, Vogue Enfants, saw 10-year old Thylane pose in a gold dress, high heels and a lot of makeup.
Her mother, Véronika Loubry, famously said of the editorial: "I understand that this could seem shocking. I admit I myself was shocked during the photo shoot. But let me be precise: the only thing that shocked me is that the necklace she wore was worth €3 million!"
