The 11 summer fashion trends to know about now that we're finally wearing proper clothes again
The start of summer may have officially been a couple of weeks ago, but with the entire country still in varying degrees of quarantine due to the Coronavirus outbreak, there have been few fair-weather celebrations.
But while we may have been lacking reasons to put any real clothes over recent months, never mind our favourite ones, there's a lot to be said for making the most of the current situation.
And just as we are finding joy in daydreaming about the places we'll go once it's confirmed to be safe to do so, many of those braving recently re-opened pubs and restaurants are no doubt finding joy in putting together outfits and experimenting with new trends.

If your summer wardrobe feels a little unprepared having seemingly been called upon from nowhere (bear in mind that it was winter when we began lockdown) fear not, because the fashion set has been prepared for this moment for months.
As is the case with every new season, editors and stylists have recently been looking back over previous runways - the SS20 showcases were put on in September last year - in anticipation of our upcoming wardrobes.
And while very few such trends will feel appropriate for your cosy, work-from-home wardrobe (other, that is, than no.4, which we'll bet at least half of you are wearing via a tracksuit as we speak...), there's no harm in putting serious thought into your socially-distanced weekend wardrobe. If you're only venturing out once or twice a week, you might as well do it in a great outfit.

Other than the obvious (is summer even summer without a floral dress/Birkenstock/oversized hat?), this season you'll also be bang on trend if you're spotted wearing low-slung tailoring, puffed shoulders, or showing off your bra...
