Remember when Sophie Turner was a redhead? We chart the star's best beauty looks of all time
Best known for her role as Sansa Stark in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones and Jean Grey in X Men: Dark Phoenix, our SS19 cover star, Sophie Turner, remains one of our favourite muses.
Regularly appearing on her IG Stories wearing a hoodie and zero makeup to give us the tea, Sophie's shared her thoughts on Trump (not a fan), to wearing masks ("if I can wear a mask to give birth, you can wear one to Walmart") and uplifting other actresses (like Blake Lively who admitted to feeling insecure about her body after having her third baby).
Fiesty, funny, and laid back, Sophie admitted to GLAMOUR she's not a planner. "I just like to ride the wave of life and see where it takes me, rather than setting a plan out for myself. It’s more fun that way, it’s more spontaneous.” And, she's just as relatable when it comes to her approach to hair and makeup.
Sophie's beauty signature is that she never looks to contrived. Even when her hair and makeup is done professionally for events, there's always an element that looks relaxed.
She previously told Vogue France, "I'm not very good at makeup... I usually use my makeup artist, Georgie Eisdell, for events. My daytime look and night-time look are quite similar: foundation, a touch of concealer, a little bit of eye shadow, and mascara. And then I just hope that I look okay!" But, she's become more experimental over the years, playing with punchy vampy lips, graphic eye liner and colourful eyeshadow.

As for her hair, she's no stranger to experimenting with different lengths and colours. She entrusted WELLA to take her from Sansa's fiery red hair back to her native blonde. "It’s really the only dye I have ever trusted with my hair," she said.

Sophie's recognised the power beauty can have to change her mood and to help get her into character. "Changing my hair always gives me such a confidence boost," she told Vogue. "Red makes me feel very empowered but with blonde I’m my old self again which makes me feel very confident."
