Recently, it's been almost impossible to pop for a coffee or have a quick scroll without seeing at least one effortlessly stylish OOTD featuring oversized blazers. The blazer - once seen as a slightly stuffy workwear option to be cinched, fitted and buttoned-up has had the biggest glow-up and returned as roomier, more relaxed and in oversize silhouettes that suit our need for slouchy, more casual fits.
We are not complaining. Our oversized blazers have fast become the most hard-working pieces in our wardrobes, easily thrown on over anything from floaty summer dresses to jeans and a jumper in the colder months. Essentially, oversized blazers are a year-round outfit staple, and will undoubtedly become the most versatile piece in your wardrobe.
So, we scoured the best designer labels on NET-A-PORTER and browsed the best of the high street (fun fact: ASOS currently have 2,226 options for ‘oversized blazer’ online rn) to find the ultimate oversized blazers that will make any outfit infinitely more stylish. (It's not a coincidence Barbie wore jeans, Birkies and an oversized blazer for her first appointment in the real world…)
Right now, Frankie Shop's Gelso style is an influencer fave, as is anything from Anine Bing. The Quin linen blazer, in a chic oatmilk shade, will work perfectly for summer and take you through to autumn too, because we're all about repeat-wears.
Leather blazers are a perma-trend that you'll never tire of - we love Reformation's Veda Dalia Relaxed Leather Blazer and Norma Kamali has an oversized Vegan Leather Blazer, too.
