Oscars 2019: GLAMOUR awards the best hair and makeup looks from the red carpet

The Oscars are never short of heart-stopping moments. And for us, many of them happen before the ceremony even begins, in a whirl of incredible dresses, gravity-defying updos and statement lipstick on the red carpet.

And while the evening sets to celebrate the best in film (see all the 2019 Oscar winners here), we want to take the time to applaud the hair and makeup artists behind the scenes, who are responsible for the breathtaking beauty looks we'll be putting away in our 'special occasion' banks for years to come.
