The 16 items at the top of every fashion insider's holiday shopping list
So you made it through winter (congrats!) and that summer holiday you planned in the bleakest, deepest depths of it as a distraction is finally creeping up on you... good news all round, right?
Wrong.
You hate all your swimsuits, you have 'no' dresses (that you want to take) and all your sandals are a bit, well, drab.
We don't recommend that you overhaul your entire suitcase contents every holiday, but there's no harm in indulging yourself in an update or two (read: sixteen) every now and then.
The season's biggest trends? Oversized hats (duh!) will be splattered across every beach this summer, while tie-dye, cargo shorts and florals will inevitably be spotted strolling along promenades all over Europe.
Swimwear-wise, one-pieces will still reign supreme with neutral nudes, browns and whites providing a fresh update on last year's punchier tones.
Woven, canvas bags remain the tote of choice and shell details dominate the jewellery offering, while barely-there sandals will adorn the hooves of all the chicest women.
