It takes the right gown, at the right time, worn by the right person to create a fashion moment that'll go down in sartorial history.
And while 2016 has seen it's fair share of questionable looks, there have been a few gowns that'll stick with us forever; from Claire Danes' Cinderella dress which took on an entirely different form in the dark, to Bella Hadid's eye popping Jessica Rabbit look and Kim Kardashian's sock masquerading as a dress.
