But while it may garner headlines for these - admittedly brilliant - individual pieces, those in-the-know don't just head to the high street stalwart for viral hits. In fact, many fashion editors and influencers alike rely on M&S to form the backbone of their everyday wardrobe.
Even during lockdown, when 'curating a look' feels like a frivolous activity entertained only in a previous life, there are seemingly endless pieces from the brand's AW20 offering that would fit seamlessly into just about every wardrobe - even when we are confined to our homes for the foreseeable.
From staple cotton shirts to throw on last minute for those forgotten Zoom meetings to trackpants made from sustainably-sourced materials that are as comfy as they are chic when paired with a crisp white t-shirt and trainers, this season Marks & Spencer is reliably serving up just about everything your lockdown wardrobe desires.
