M&S's autumn/winter 2021 collection has dropped and it's safe to say we're OBSESSED

Gone are the days of taking M&S for granted, deeming it the place you go for good-quality basics, and yummy food and drinks (Christmas time especially). While it’s still v. much the store for both of those things, it’s now also top of our lists when it comes to updating our wardrobes with autumn and winter fashion.

Marks & Spencer’s A/W collection is, out of all the high street shops we know and love, the one whose we await most eagerly. Sumptuous cashmere jumpers? Check. Cosy winter coats? Plenty. Leather jackets to add some masculinity to dresses and midi skirts? You bet. M&S truly covers all bases throughout the year, but their cold season line-up just hits differently. The 2021 range is no exception.

Whether you’re looking to brighten up gloomy October days with a floral patterned dress teamed with your favourite ankle boots, or you’re on the hunt for a staple pair of jeans to see you through the next six months, you can guarantee that M&S will have just the thing you’re looking for (plus about 17 other items you didn’t even know you needed but can’t possibly checkout without).

We’ll be making a beeline for these suedette high waisted leggings – they’ll be the perfect back-to-office alternative to our favourite pair of black leggings and joggers when we’re WFH. The brand’s teddy shacket is the outerwear equivalent to a cuddle (sign us up), and is heavier than a shirt but less structured than a jacket – hence the name. The oversized fit will go down a treat atop off-duty ensembles.

If you also like to switch up your accessories with the changing of seasons, then you’ll be pleased to know that M&S’s new autumn/winter collection isn’t just limited to clothing. This quilted messenger bag takes cues from puffer jackets, making it the perfect companion to carry right through to spring. Cashmere needn’t be reserved for just knitwear, either, as proven by this beanie hat. We want one in both colours.
