The 2020 Golden Globes hair and makeup looks you need to copy ASAP
Thank God for the Golden Globes! Before we get a chance to feel that sinking January feeling, the red carpet has been rolled out to bring the sparkle and some much-needed Hollywood magic.
As the first awards ceremony on the circuit, the Golden Globes sets the tone for the season ahead, historically predicting not only the winners, but the makeup and hair looks we’ll be wanting to replicate for the rest of the year. Anyone remember Lady Gaga’s homage to Holly Golightly last year, (complete with a sky-high topknot and lashings of diamonds) which culminated in a full on Breakfast At Tiffany’s look at the Oscars?
But, without the stature of the Academy Awards, expect the looks to be more relaxed, cool and experimental. Case in point: Little Women director, Greta Gerwig who this year ditched 'done' hair in favour of a slick ear tuck and a statement pink lip. Incidentally pink is already proving to be the shade of the evening with Dakota Fanning, Jane Levy and Kirsten Dunst also opting for a blush colour palette.
