Hallelujah! The most prestigious night in film is upon us. Now in its 92nd year, The Oscars draws together Hollywood royalty to internationally recognise the greatest film achievements over the past year and we all know it's the most major awards season red carpet (sorry, Golden Globes!).
Films aside, the Oscars are also known for show-stopping red carpet outfits, unexpected wins and groundbreaking acceptance speeches that fuel the internet’s memes for weeks.
So what can we expect from this year? Despite it being two years since the outbreak of the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements, gender equality still appears to be an issue with no women nominated for the Best Director award despite Greta Gerwig's stand out movie, Little Women . She does however garner nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Picture. In fact, Natalie Portman made a serious statement on the Oscars red carpet 2020 both in terms of her style credentials but also with the not-so-secret message in her ensemble.
Wearing Dior – naturally – the star appeared to be wearing a shoulder robed jacket which had the names of the female directors who weren’t nominated for the Best Director award at the Oscars embroidered into it.
See the full list of Oscar winners below, along with GLAMOUR’s definitive guide to the Oscars 2020, the best dresses and beauty looks from the red carpet (which we'll be updating all night long) live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Who is hosting the Oscars this year?
No one! Last year, The Oscars went without a host for the first time in 30 years after Kevin Hart was forced to step down when a series of homophobic tweets were uncovered.

What's happening with the weather?!
Unfortunately for the stars, who've no doubt spent hours glamming up, the heavens have opened and torrential rain is falling on the theatre. In fact, the downpours are so extreme that part of the roof is even reported to be caving in and the Oscars statues are being wrapped in protective cellophane.

What did everyone wear?
Everyone knows the stars save their favourite dress for the Oscars red carpet and this year's sartorial offering was no exception. Laura Dern was sublime in Armani Privé, Billy Porter garnered all the attention in custom Giles Deacon, Lily Aldridge was ethereal in archive Ralph Lauren, Zazie Beetz gave a fresh take on the LBD in custom Thom Browne and Bulgari jewellery, whilst Billie Eilish looked sh** hot in Chanel.

What beauty looks did the stars plump for?
This year, major lashes look to be the trend to jump on board of – leading the way, Regina King debuted heavily lidded eyes. And hair embellishment continues to take off, as emphasised by America Ferrera, whilst Billie Eilish's nails were something to behold.
The main beauty story of the evening was Olivia Colman's newly blonde hair. Major.
