Glastonbury: The headliners & the acts we're excited about
Glastonbury 2017 has finally kicked off, and to say we're jealous of anyone attending is just a tiny understatement.
One thing we're happy to be missing, however, are the ridiculous queues. It's an improvement on last year's mud bath, but standing around for hours on the hottest day of the year isn't ideal either...
If you haven't made it to the festival, there's definitely something to be said for watching all of the action from your comfy sofa, with an iced G&T and zero wet wipes. The BBC will be streaming over 100 acts from six different stages on TV and the iPlayer app, so you don't have to miss out.
Tomorrow night, Radiohead, Major Lazer, The xx and Lorde will take to the stage, while Saturday will see Foo Fighters, Stormzy and Katy Perry. The headliners for Sunday are Ed Sheeran, Biffy Clyro and Justice.

We can dream...

Completing a hat-trick of headlines, previously in 1997 and 2003, Radiohead have amassed 17 Top 40 singles and 12 Top 10 albums (five of which hit Number 1) and can draw on a reservoir of a fan base for Glasto. The classic alterative group will surely leave the Pyramid Stage rocking when they close Friday night.

After having to cancel back in 2015 due to frontman Dave Grohl breaking his leg shortly before the festival, The Foo Fighters will surely want to make up for lost time after having not performed at Glastonbury since 1998.

Since the New Zealand singer-songwriter ended the three year wait for more music on 2nd March withGreen Lightthe hype has definitely been real. Glastonbury will provide the perfect platform for the indie-princess to showcase all her new material from her new album, Melodrama, as well as the tracks that propelled her to stardom.

Fresh from her reality experiment on YouTube, Katie is surely excited to grace the Pyramid stage. A definite watch as she will undoubtedly use Glastonbury’s global stage to project her new look as well as belting out her much-loved classics. We literally can’t wait.

The king of grime, Dizzee’s music never fails to inspire those late noughties/early 2010s of buzzing pre-drinks. Guaranteed to play those old classics as well as some new bangers, he never fails get a crowd goin'.

Guns N' Roses
Biggest hit: Sweet Child O’ Mine
This would be epic, right? Unfortunately, very unlikely. They were heavily rumoured to be headlining this year’s festival, but likely priced themselves out of a slot at Worthy Farm. Currently on their reunion tour, it would be a massive stop for them to grace Somerset, probably the festival's greatest kept secret of all time.

When asked about the possibility of featuring at Worthy Farm back in October she replied that she didn’t ‘have permission to say anything about that’. Such a tease! She did previously play a late-night slot at Shangri-La so a possibility of another sneaky return cannot be counted out.

Biggest hit: If You Tolerate This
Perhaps the most realistic of the rumoured acts, the Welsh idols are playing a nearby show in Bristol on Thursday 22 June and it appears to be their only scheduled show of the month. Without any wild guess work you could say the 7:30 slot on The Park on the Friday looks pretty likely…

Noel will in fact be at Glastonbury to introduce the screening of Oasis Documentary Supersonic. Rumours of a reunion were on the cards, however Noel’s recent twitter outburst regarding his brother’s absence from the Manchester One Love concert seems to have dampened any hopes of this happening. Although a sneaky acoustic set is not impossible, staying vigilant will be key to this one.
