Is there any better soundtrack to a sunny bank holiday weekend than a bit of UK Garage? Even better if said UKG playlist features a heavy sprinkling of the pioneering British girlband Mis-Teeq. Throughout the early oughts, Alesha Dixon, Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash ripped up the pop rulebook with their blend of mainstream hooks and underground raver energy, inviting the nation to party with them. And now, we're back guest list. That's right: a Mis-Teeq reunion is coming.

25 years on from their debut album Lickin On Both Sides, the band has just announced a special one-off show to commemorate the record that started it all. Featuring classics such as “Why?”, “All I Want” and “One Night Stand”, the album shot straight to No. 3 on the UK charts in 2001, and paved the way for more runaway successes in the band's later years. Heard of a little song called “Scandalous”, anyone?

But their impact went beyond the music. At a time when diversity in music was brazenly tokenistic, here we three Black women dropping some of the era's most memorable tracks. “We enjoyed being the underdog,” said Dixon in a recent interview with Vogue. “That’s what gave us our fire. Any little win we would have was just so much sweeter. There’s a wave of Black British artists right now doing things we could only have dreamed of back then – hopefully we helped pave the way for that. Seeing it warms my heart.”

Alas, Mis-Teeq's reign over the charts was cut short when their label, Telstar Records, went into liquidation in 2005. Paired with burnout and exhaustion from an intense touring schedule, the group ultimately decided to go their separate ways.

But their impact on culture was never forgotten – and not only because Dixon soon became television mainstay. Up and down the country, Mis-Teeq's songs are still reliable floor fillers at any club night. And now, we're finally going to hear them live once more. Big deal, right? As Washington noted in their Vogue interview, “Since the group ended, we haven’t done anything public together.”

When is Mis-Teeq's reunion show happening?

Mark your calendars: Mis-Teeq are officially returning to the stage on Saturday 12th 2026. The band will be taking over London's OVO Arena Wembley for the special one-off “One Night Stand” show, meaning there will be around 12,000 tickets up for grabs. Assemble the group chat now. If the appetite for the Sugababes' reunion shows are anything to go by, it's going to take a group strategy to secure one of these babies.

How can I get tickets?

If you're serious about securing your spot, you'll want to sign up to Mis-Teeq's mailing list to receive early access to the ticket sale. That presale opens at 10am on Wednesday 27th May. The rest of the world will have to wait until 10am on Friday 29th May to get their tickets.

Will there be new music?

There's been no word on whether Mis-Teeq will be dropping new bangers just yet. All we know is that the band is currently busy in rehearsals for their show in September. “We’re going to pour our absolute heart and souls into this,” said Nash in a recent interview. “This is such a personal moment for us.” Echoing the sentiment, Washington added: “This means so much to us because we’ve done it out of love. And that’s why we’re still standing, the three of us, and why we’ve come back. Out of love.”

That love is almost certainly reciprocated. For now, we'll just have to bump the old classics at home until we can hear them live.
