When I was six I cut my fringe to protest wearing a bridesmaid dress...

“I actually cut my fringe in protest at wearing a bridesmaid dress. Pretty funny. I was six and I had to wear it anyway, but with my wonky fringe. They tried to even it out, but didn't work. I mean, little me was probably ahead of her time, nowadays it would be trendy.”

I'm really into a red smokey-eye...

“I like any kind of smokey-eye look as well, but in more matte metallics and unusual colours, like a smokey-red. I also like any kind of bold lip for day or evening. I love reds, classic reds and orangey reds, but I also like any kind of stains, like glossy stains. I'm really into the lip oils from Hourglass. My favorite lip oil is called is the Hourglass No.28 Lip Treatment Oil, £48, Look Fantastic and it's just a really nice sheer pink. I don't know any other products like it, because I love the look of a glass lip, but I feel that sometimes it's too sticky. This one is amazing.”

I’ve also learned from the experts that the best makeup tools can be your fingers...

Val Garland also taught me how to exfoliate and prep your lips when you're doing a red lip, so that it really stays on. She does all kinds of tricks, like she'll put the compact directly underneath your lip to make sure that you've even got it right on the very bottom lip line… [She also taught me] how to apply skin makeup, to make it look as natural as possible while still covering. Like how you pat it in. I mean, I don't use brushes with my concealer. I like to use the heat of my fingers and to pat it around my nose.”

My sister got me onto powdered vitamin C and collagen...

“I actually take chewable multivitamins, they’re called SmartyPants. Because when I had all the different ones, I would just never take them all. So I actually take those every day. I also take powdered vitamin C and powdered collagen. My sister got me on to that because I get eczema. So it was kind of about being able to help your body moisturise from the inside, if that makes sense. I also love drinking lemon juice or any kind of fresh juices.”

My skincare routine is very simple…

“I am really into experimenting, but I keep it quite simple. As far as my skincare routine, I'll wake up and I'll cleanse. One that I love right now is Dr. Barbara Sturm. It's like a foaming one. She also has this light exfoliating cleanser that actually comes as a powder, which you can mix with water, I love it for traveling. Then I'll use a light moisturiser. The one that I'm obsessed with is from this brand called Osea. It uses a lot of like seaweed products and that's really nice. If I have time, I'll make my own masks and lip scrubs. I'll do like a lip scrub with honey and brown sugar.”

Refillable beauty is the way to go...

“I joined forces with Hourglass because I always loved the products. I think the products are really good. I used quite a lot of them before, as far as the bronzer, foundation and the shadows, but I was really excited about it because I genuinely love the brand and I love the way that it looks. The brushes [for example] are amazing. I also love the story behind refillable eyeshadow palette. I think it's something that brands should be doing more of and focusing on still being able to have really lux looking products, but coming at it from more of an environmentally friendly way, in terms of being able to keep your palettes and refill them and really cutting down on that excess plastic.”

If my bathroom cabinet was on fire I would save…

“The ISUN Chlorella Algae Mask, I can't get enough of it cause it's really cool and nice. So I would pick it up actually. I would save a red lipstick. I like the Hourglass Confession, which is a slim and comes in a really cute refillable packaging that makes it easy to apply. Lastly I’d save my Dr Barbara Sturm Calming Serum. I can't get enough of that either. I've used so much of it because my skin is really sensitive and I'm allergic to a lot of products, and this one's really good for sensitive skin.”

The best beauty lessons I learned from my mum is all about picking the right colours for your skin tone…

“My mum has taught me how to pick colours that go with my skin tone. As far as blushes and things like that, even with lipsticks, she definitely wears different reds to what I wear, and to what my sister wears. So it's all about picking those specific colours that suit the most for your hair colour, eye colour, etc... Then she's also very into makeup on the go. I’m really good at doing my makeup in the car. I've just gotten used to it over the years because I feel like she and my sister will do it when they're on the way to an event… So, just watching her, apply red lipstick taught me a lot.”

I always wanted to be able to experiment with my hair and I would try and do like pink streaks at home...

“I was inspired to work with Bleach London because I worked with Alex Brownsell who created everything at Bleach. I'd worked with her on one of my first modelling jobs when I was 14, she was a hair assistant and she was 17. So we've known each other for a really long time. We'd do shoots and I would always want Alex to be on them because I naturally became a fan and customer of Bleach and loved going there to get my hair done. So it was a natural progression, because I always wanted to be able to experiment [with my hair] and I would try and do like pink streaks at home, and stuff like that. Doing my first colour transformations with Alex, taught me how to embrace change even more, rather than being stuck in the same ways, as far as my hair.”
