Shop The Look: Actress Emma Corrin of The Crown fame brings an anarchic attitude to the season’s most majestic beauty looks
Christmas is the time of the year to experiment with bold makeup looks. Think statement lips, glitter lids and overboard blush. But where to steal much-needed inspiration pre-creation? Any veteran beauty sleuth will tell you to look no further than collations of the hottest trends as created by the best makeup artists in the business. Luckily, with every printed issue of GLAMOUR comes a plethora of beautiful shoots to get your artistic juices flowing.
Enter: Shop The Look, our new series that allows you to shop the products used to create the amazing makeup looks as seen in the pages of GLAMOUR. First up? Emma Corin showcasing every festive get-up you could ever dream of donning, from the AW20/21 print issue. We're talking colour-blocking, metallic eyes, matte-textured lips and luscious deep green nails.
Make up supremo behind the looks, Kay Montano, shares her pro tips and product edit to perfect regal red lips, your go to look for Christmas eve, a green smokey eye for Christmas Day and overboard blush for your most Instagram-worthy NYE look yet. The fact it'll only be seen over Zoom poses no problem.
Shop The Look: Regal Red
“For a true style statement, try a monochrome look using seriously bold shades inspired by AW20’s colour-blocking trend. Here, Chanel MUA Kay Montano, pairs two regal reds on eyes and lips. “Because we’ve used different textures – a metallic eye and a matte-texture lipstick – they work together to create a really captivating, complementary look,” she explains.
Pair the metallic red shadow from the Pat McGrath Mothership V Bronze Seduction Palette, £120 with Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Fusion in True Red, £31 on lips for super ‘80s glam. On nails, go for a luscious deep green, such as Chanel Le Vernis in Deepness, £22.

Shop The Look: Glow and Behold
“There’s nothing as beautiful as skin that looks like it’s bathed in moonlight,” enthuses Kay.
Focus on getting a base worthy of royalty by applying Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation, £41. Follow with Le Blanc Rosy Light Drops Sheer Highlighting Fluid, £38, along the cheekbones, Cupid’s bow and browbone, and finish with a daub of Baume Essentiel in Transparent, £33, all Chanel, on the cheeks for added gloss.
Dress, Orseund Iris; ear cuff, Completedworks; gold hoop earrings and necklace (both just seen), both Missoma.
Shop The Look: Emerald Eyes
When it comes to your smoky eye, think beyond grey and black. “A flash of colour on the lids and below the eyes instantly gives your make-up an edge. Try a metallic jewel tone, like the green used here,” says Kay.
Apply Vivid & Vibrant Eyeshadow Duo in Jade, £16, Stila with lashings of Le Volume Stretch de Chanel Volume And Length Mascara, £28, Chanel. Pro tip: Do your foundation after your eyes, using Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation, £41, Chanel to clean up any fall-out from the shadow.
Top, skirt, scarf and necklace, all Chanel.
Shop The Look: Lush Flush
Looking for major drama? Go overboard on the blush. The key to keeping it chic AF is ensuring the skin is hydrated and dewy first, by using Hydra Beauty Camellia Water Cream, £48, Chanel as a primer – then go forth and blush. “One of the best ways to make sure your bold colour stays put is to use a cream blush underneath and set with a powder of a similar shade,” says Kay. Try Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick in No 21, £35, with Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rouge Profond, £35, both Chanel, layered on top for rosy-cheeked perfection.
Shop The Look: Queen of Diamonds
A defined cut crease is an easy way to add the royal treatment to your makeup look. “I love the nod to ’20s film noir with these berry shades, too,” says Kay.
Use the peach shade in Eyeshadow Quad in Body Heat, £68, Tom Ford for the lid, and the darkest shade with a mini angle brush, such as Angled Eyeliner Brush in No 206, £23, Chanel to create the defined socket line. Apply a lipliner, such as Crayon Levres Terrybly in No 7, £23.50, By Terry and follow with Rouge Coco Flash in Dominant, £31, Chanel for vintage glamour.
Dress, Christopher Kane; earrings, Missoma; ear cuff (iust seen), Roxanne First.
