The dress trend that fashion's coolest girls are LOVING right now π
You know a trend has legs when fashion's coolest set - we're talking the likes of Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid and Chiara Ferragni - repeat-wear. And while the gowns we see at award ceremonies and fashionable events come in many beautiful forms, there's one dress trend that has quickly become the go-to for the most daring of celebrities: the bustier dress.
The dresses are defined by their built in bustiers and flowy skirts. Dior's Maria Grazia Chiuri has been pioneering the style since her debut spring summer 2017 collection and they were still going strong for her spring summer '18 show, in mirror ball varieties. Brand ambassadors like Bella Hadid have been wearing the stunning designs with fervour ever since.
So why's it such a hit? The Dior-inspired style merges two trends that have been building momentum in recent seasons, corsets and underwear as outwear, to make the cool girl dress of dreams.
It's the perfect mix of sexy (usually coming in sheer varieties) and pretty, with skirts typically coming in princess-like tulle or lace - so you can see why fashion girls are obsessed with it.
