Bustier dresses have become Maria Grazia Chiuri's signature since she debuted the style – defined by their built-in, structured bustiers and flowy tulled skirts – at her debut Dior spring summer show last year. Their romance had everyone enamoured, and you'd be amiss not to spot one at any given fancy fashion party. Well imagine that, sprinkle a load of sparkle on it, and you get Chiuri's offering for spring summer 2018...
Closing her show in Paris today, Dior's dresses had a party makeover. Streaming down the runway in rainbow variations of pink, red, blue, yellow and orange, the bustier dresses featured mirror ball bodices, those signature 'Christian Dior' straps and swathes of polka print tulle.
The designs matched the mirrored mosaic pieces that decorated the walls of the Musée Rodin, providing a beautiful hint of what was to come for the arriving guests at the show.
We can expect these sparkly incarnations to be everywhere this party season - J'Adore!
