The best bottomless brunches in Manchester to pre-book with the girls ASAP
There is no weekend plan more fail-safe than bottomless brunch, and how we've missed them in lockdown. Honestly, we can't remember how long it's been since we uttered those blissful words: 'Could we have a top-up of prosecco, please?'
Though it may be a few weeks until normality slowly starts to resume, bottomless brunch spots in Manchester are already getting booked up. As per the roadmap out of lockdown, 12th April is the earliest date by which we can sit outside at restaurants, and from 17th May (earliest), we can head inside to get positively sloshed on endless prosecco with our six BFFs.
So, with restaurants already taking reservations, there is no better time to book in for a boozy breakfast at some of Manchester's best eateries.
And what a spectacular line-up you have to choose from. Cottonopolis, housed in a Grade II-listed building in Manchester's Northern Quarter, is a true foodie's paradise – seriously, we advise perusing the menu beforehand otherwise you'll spend 30 minutes choosing from all the delicious-sounding dishes (five-spice mascarpone, rosemary-poached apricots and caramelised white chocolate on brioche, anyone?)
If you're not really one for prosecco or Bloody Marys, make sure to hit up Manahatta in Deansgate, a vibrant New York inspired cocktail bar. There's prosecco and Bloody Marys (natch), but there's also pints of Coors and Aperol Spritzes at their bottomless brunch, as well as mouth-watering food such as buttermilk pancakes with Nutella, toasted hazelnuts and cream – or for the meat-lovers, steak frites (strips of fillet steak, plus skin-on sweet potato fries with melted cheese and crispy shallots).
Plus, you absolutely have to try the brunch food at Foundry Project. 'Hangover pizza', 'nuff said.

Foundry Project
If you really want to get the party started, head to the Northern Quarter where Foundry Project are serving up unlimited prosecco, Bellinis, Mimosas or Bloody Marys for 2 hours with a meal – choose from the likes of brunch fries, smashed avo and our must-try, 'hangover pizza' with glazed smoked bacon, fried egg, onion jam , mozzarella and hot sauce. Banyan
Available to book from 17th May, Banyan Spinningfields's bottomless brunch will be served every weekend from 11am - 3pm with plenty of choice. For bevs, there's free-flowing Coors, Aperol spritzes, and prosecco, and food-wise, there's the traditional grub of smashed avo and eggs and breakfast hash, or to line your stomach more, there's deluxe plates with the likes of burgers and steak frites.

Manahatta
Manahatta's brunch offering is extensive, from buttermilk pancakes with fried chicken, bacon and maple syrup, to soft steamed mushroom hirata buns. 'Uptown options' include chicken katsu curry and a steak melt wrap for an extra £5. Bevs to choose from are prosecco, Bloody Marys, pint of Coors and Aperol Spritz.

All Star Lanes
Restaurant and bar reservations, including bottomless brunch, started up again at All Star Lanes on 4th July. Order any main dish – from a veggie breakfast with cauliflower and lentil sausages, to an American breakfast with the full works – and enjoy two hours of free-flowing prosecco, mimosas or craft beers for an extra £20.

BLVD
A favourite of Love Islanders Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury, BLVD have recently reopened their doors post-lockdown. Their bottomless brunch is available every Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm. Choose one small plate (including grilled chicken satay and sweetcorn fritters with chilli jam) and one side (mmm, truffle fries). There's unlimited fizz, beer, gin cocktails, Bloody Marys or – the bev we have our eye on – orange sherbet mimosas.

Menagerie
Menagerie have reopened with strict guidelines, which you can read on their website. In the heart of Manchester city centre, their weekend bottomless brunch will get you two breakfast plates with unlimited mimosas, prosecco, Bloody Marys or Kiki's Fruit Punch. Food options include a bacon sandwich, a full English, buttermilk pancakes and – wait for it – Menagerie French Toast with brioche, Nutella and marshmallow fluff. Plus, the venue's lavish decor was made for the 'gram; think tons of pink, neon lights, a gold birdcage booth and a tropical wall.
Cottonopolis
If you're serious about good grub, head to Cottonopolis. The menu is ideal if you have a sweet tooth (think: five-spice mascarpone, rosemary-poached apricots and caramelised white chocolate on brioche), but will certainly satisfy savoury cravings too (we're salivating just at the sound of the smashed avocado, charred lemon and pepper-crusted egg on sourdough). Seriously, someone call the guys at Michelin (the guide, not the manufacturing company). For an extra £18, choose between unlimited prosecco, orange and pink grapefruit mimosas, white peach bellinis or Bloody Marys. Available 12-3pm on weekends.

The Pen & Pencil
A hip venue in the Northern Quarter, this bottomless brunch is only available on the last Saturday of every month, but it's worth the wait. The mouthwatering menu includes avocado and poached eggs on grilled sourdough with feta, sun-dried tomatoes, rocket, sriracha, toasted pistachio nuts, almond flakes and pumpkin seeds (give it to us now) and 6oz marinated rump steak with hash browns, fried eggs and hollandaise. There's a delicious dish of smoky beans in paprika tomato sauce on sourdough for vegans, too.
The Refinery
Order any dish from The Refinery's extensive brunch menu (which includes brekkie, burgers, curries and plenty of plant-based options), and for an additional £20 you'll get free-flowing Bloody Marys or bellinis. Their bottomless brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays 10am-3pm, and on Saturdays there's a DJ to really get the weekend started.
