Missing Glastonbury? From Kate Moss to Alexa Chung and Adwoa Aboah, we're reminiscing over some of the festival's best ever style moments
If you're feeling a little low this week but can't quite put your finger on why, then you may be one of the 135,000 Glastonbury ticket holders who are missing out on yet another four-day field-frolicking extravaganza for the second year in a row.
Last year's 50th anniversary, which saw a line-up that included headliners Diana Ross, Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa, was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but ticket holders were assured that their tickets would be accepted in 2021 (ensuring that all the competitive online queuing for tickets hadn't gone to waste). Unfortunately, with the pandemic ongoing, the 2021 festival enforced another fallow year.
But just because Covid-19 has cancelled another year of Glastonbury doesn't mean you should wallow. We have our health, the sun is (sort of, intermittently) out, and it's almost the weekend.
But if you're really pining over Glasto and are craving a little Worthy Farm action, why not join us in reminiscing over some of the festival's best ever fashion moments. After all - and apologies to the devoted music fans - it is one of the most talked-about aspects of the event.
All the way from Boho disc belts and feathers to high shine slip dresses, Ugg boots and vinyl, festival fashion has changed a LOT over the last few decades. Here, we take a nostalgic look back at the most famous UK festival, and the iconic celebrity fashion that it encouraged. (Yes, the list does mostly comprise of Alexa Chung, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller...)
