Introducing the Bay-kini: Summer's sexiest swimsuit

This summer's swimwear of choice has been sparked by Kylie Jenner, who in turn was inspired by Pamela Anderson back in her Baywatch days. In fact, the current Baywatch remake (starring a newly beefed up Zac Efron) has led to the introduction of the Bay-kini - a swimsuit cut periouslously perilously high on the thigh and across the derriere.

On one hand, it's good to see the one-piece reclaim some of the sex appeal that the bikini has been hogging for years. It's also marginally more wearable than the cut-out styles favoured by Gigi Hadid et al, which require abs of steel and a committed gym routine to pull off.

However, the Bay-kini calls for another kind of maintenance that won't appeal to everyone. A wax is essential, as is confidence, and there's no arguing that the cut will draw attention to your hips. But, fortunately, that's finally viewed as a good thing by the fashion world - just look at the popularity of high-waisted Mom jeans. I also love the simplicity and the silhouette that comes with a Pammie-esque swim special.
