Here are all the dresses from the 'sustainable' BAFTAs red carpet that you need to see
While party planners across the pond have been kept busy with Awards Season over the last few weeks - see the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, SAGs and Grammys - it was finally the turn of us Brits to show how well we, too, can throw a bash.
Playing host to the BAFTAs this evening, the Royal Albert Hall welcomed some of the world's biggest names in acting as it celebrated an incredible year of film.
And while we all had one eye on the main prize hoping that our favourite won Best Film, we couldn't help but keep our other eye firmly on the red carpet as stars arrived decked out in all their finery.
This year, BAFTA acknowledged the often-frivolous nature of red carpet fashion and requested that guests 'make sustainable choices on the red carpet' as they aimed for a carbon neutral ceremony and work towards a positive impact on the environment. Whether they rented, borrowed, rewore or opted for sustainably-designed new items, attendees had ethical fashion on their mind.
Up for awards this year - and therefore going for it in the style stakes - were the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Saoirse Ronan, Awkwafina, Charlize Theron, Renée Zellweger, Florence Pugh and Laura Dern.
And, of course, we were all waiting with baited breath as the Duchess of Cambridge marked her fourth consecutive appearance at the iconic awards ceremony. Having worn Alexander McQueen on two previous occasions, it should come as no surprise that she once again opted for the British fashion house.
