Every time Anya Taylor-Joy slayed her hair and makeup
It's been a meteoric rise for 25-year old Argentine-British actress, Anya Taylor-Joyy. Already, she has two BBC dramas – The Miniaturist and Peaky Blinders – under her belt. She's scared our socks off in period horror film, The Witch and psychological thrillers Split and Glass. And she scooped the leading role in last year's remake of Jane Austen's Emma, alongside Bill Nighy.
Then, of course, there's her star performance as pro chess champion, Beth Harmon, in Netflix smash-hit, The Queen's Gambit, which earned her a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV film. She made history in the process, as the first Latina ever to win the award.

But Anya's ability to switch between characters is matched by her chameleon-like hair and beauty repertoire. She's rocked everything from bouncy blonde Regency curls to that famous red bob.

Her high cheekbones, big brown eyes and prominent cupid's bow bring new life to classic makeup looks we love. But it's not been all plain-sailing. Lockdown measures meant the biggest award season of Anya's career played out a little differently this year, and with limited access to her glam squad, Anya's makeup artist and hairstylist had to talk her through creating her beauty look over zoom. So, alongside two awards, Anya has some fierce beauty skills to her name as well.

From flawless winged eyeliner, to sky-high beehives, gold-leaf hair details, perfect berry pouts and the waist-length platinum mermaid waves that Anya is currently rocking, these are some of our favourite Anya beauty moments so far...
