Universal Studios“There is something about the style of the clothes of the ‘20s that is very sweet,” said Angelina. “They make you feel a little softer and just so delicate, hidden behind it all. It helped me very much.”
Universal StudiosChangeling costume designer, Deborah Hopper, searched far and wide for vintage clothes for Angelina Jolie. “We did come up with enough clothes, but barely,” she said.
Universal StudiosCloche hats, popular in the 1920s, were used to set off Angelina’s close bob and finger-waved hair.
Universal StudiosThe decorum of the 1920s was very formal and there were few casual looks. Angelina’s wardrobe therefore included some pretty substantial fur-trimmed coats and plenty of red lipstick!
Universal StudiosDeborah Hopper researched archive footage of Christine Collins to compile an idea of the colours she liked and the outfits she wore. The film is released on 26 November.
